Megan Benedict was installed as State President of the North Carolina Society in Arlington, Virginia on April 24, 2017
Megan’s theme is Common Threads in a Shared Tapestry. Our common threads are love of country, promotion of patriotism and preservation of historical sites and documents. These threads weave a rich tapestry we all share. The project will support the mission of UNC Pembroke to change lives through education by providing them learning backpacks to help visitors enhance their visit to the museum. The story of UNC Pembroke is both a story of the vision of seven men from the community who sought funds to establish a school for students of Robeson County and the story of how important the business of agriculture was in maintaining a successful institution of higher learning.
