On April 21, 2024 in a ceremony at Mount Vernon, Elizabeth Johnston was installed as Senior State President of the North Carolina Society of the Children of the American Revolution for the 2024-2026 term of office. As Senior State President Elizabeth is the adult leader of the organization mentoring and working with the State President. Elizabeth joined the C.A.R. in 1982 as a youth member and returned as a Senior leader in 2014.
Elizabeth Johnston is an Army Nurse Corps Veteran, mother of eight including three active duty children and grandmother of 2 (also members of the C.A.R.).
